SAHAKARMI TRAINING AND RESEARCH CENTER (STRC)

Empowering People. Strengthening Institutions. Transforming Communities.

About Us

Sahakarmi Training and Research Center (STRC) is a non-profit center of excellence established in 2017 and registered with the Office of Company Registrar, Nepal. While STRC operates as a legally independent and autonomous entity, it functions as a sister organization of Sahakarmi Samaj and is guided by its board and leadership.

STRC was established to strengthen the training and research functions of Sahakarmi Samaj and to contribute to its organizational capacity building. The Center is fully dedicated to supporting Sahakarmi Samaj, its constituencies, and the broader community.

Although STRC can mobilize resources independently, it does not distribute profits to individuals. Instead, all generated resources are reinvested to support Sahakarmi Samaj’s institutional development and to implement programs that benefit marginalized communities.

At its core, STRC promotes the Facilitation for Empowerment and Social Transformation (FEST) approach, an innovative and proven methodology that empowers individuals and institutions to lead sustainable, inclusive, and people-centered development processes.

We have successfully conducted hundreds of residential and non-residential training programs at the Center, serving government agencies, national and international NGOs, and other institutions. Over the last 10 years, we have hosted more than thousand participants, including international guests.

Guided by their satisfaction, continued support, and valuable feedback, we are consistently enhancing and upgrading the quality of our services to deliver even more impactful learning experiences.

Our Vision

We envision a society where individuals and organizations are empowered with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration needed to achieve their professional goals while contributing meaningfully to social transformation and equitable development.

Our Purpose

STRC exists to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice. Through carefully designed training programs and expert consultation services, we strengthen the capacity of individuals and institutions to perform effectively in a rapidly evolving development landscape.

The Center also serves as a dynamic learning hub, bringing together practitioners, researchers, and leaders to exchange ideas, share experiences, and co-create innovative solutions. In doing so, STRC contributes to generating, managing, and disseminating knowledge that promotes sustainable and people-centered development.

Our Goal

Our primary goal is to strengthen community-based organizations, local governments, and development partners by providing evidence-based knowledge and practical tools. This enables them to design and implement programs that effectively apply people-led approaches and the FEST methodology.

Our Commitment

STRC is not profit-driven, it is purpose-driven. As a strategic initiative of Sahakarmi Samaj, the Center strengthens training and research systems while generating internal resources to sustain and expand community-focused programs.

By choosing STRC, partners contribute to building resilient institutions and supporting transformative development efforts across Nepal.
