MEAL Coordinator

Mr. Air is a founder member of Sahakarmi Samaj. He joined the organization as a ‘Program Development Coordinator’ in 1997 and has served in different capacities. He has been working as an Executive Director since 2017. He is also an international board member of ‘FIAN INTERNATIONAL’, Germany. He holds a Master’s degree in Community Development from Future Generation University in Virginia, America, and a degree in Sociology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Additionally, he completed a Diploma in Global Leadership from Coady International Institute, Francis Xavier University, Canada, in 2014. He is one of the pioneers of the Facilitation for Empowerment and Social Transformation (FEST) approach to organizing and empowering the poor and marginalized people of various areas in Nepal. His expertise is in governance, community and organization, human resource management, monitoring and evaluation, organizational capacity development, and community development through a people-led approach. In addition, he has delivered numerous pieces of training at the national and international levels on the issues of his expertise. He has authored several publications, including ‘Community Facilitators Guide’ published by Sahakarmi Samaj. Rajaram Gupta is a Program Manager at Sahakarmi Samaj, where he has served since 1998 in roles ranging from community educator to senior leadership. With over 32 years of experience, he has led multi-sector development programs across Nepal, specializing in organizational capacity development, governance, community mobilization, and partnership management with NGOs, INGOs, donors, and government agencies. He has a strong track record in delivering impactful programs using rights-based, participatory, and inclusive approaches, and in managing teams, budgets, and complex stakeholder environments.

He holds a Master’s degree in Social Science and has extensive expertise in human resource development and organizational management. A skilled trainer, he has delivered more than 300 trainings for national and international organizations on topics such as GESI, social audit, participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation, and community development. Mrs. Budhathoki joined the organization as Admin and Finance Assistant in 2010. She holds a Master’s degree in Commerce from Mid-Western University Nepal. Currently, she serves as head of the Admin and Finance Section. At Sahakarmi Samaj, she brings 15 years of experience in the management of overall Admin and Finance-related services. Dikshya Ayer is a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEAL) professional with over five years of experience in managing development programs focused on gender-responsive climate adaptation, agroecology, and community empowerment. Since January 2024, she has been working as MEAL Coordinator at Sahakarmi Samaj, where she leads result-based monitoring systems and also contributes to proposal development and grant writing.

She has technical expertise in R-based statistical analysis, GIS spatial modeling, Kobo Toolbox. Her professional experience includes research work with the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOLMAC) and the University of Padova.

Dikshya holds an MSc in Forest Science from the University of Padova, Italy, and completed an Erasmus+ exchange at the University of Copenhagen , Denmark on  MSc in Forest and Nature Management. She was also engaged in gender equality and youth advocacy through organizations such as the Radha Paudel Foundation and the Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON).

Through her work, she bridges the gap between data analytics and grassroots community development ot ensure that climate and agricultural interventions are measurable, inclusive, and impactful.

I am Tulsi Oli, an Administration and Finance professional with over 12 years of experience in finance, grants management, administration, and operations. I hold a Master’s degree in Management and have extensive experience working with donor-funded projects and development organizations. My expertise includes financial management, budgeting, compliance, grant administration, procurement, and operational coordination. I have a proven track record of ensuring financial accountability, strengthening administrative systems, and supporting organizational growth through effective planning and resource management. Mrs. Puspa lamsal joined the organization as a program Assistant in1st june, 2017 She has been working as an Human Resource Officer since 2026. Mr. Joshi as a development worker holds academic qualification with Masters in Sociology/Anthropology from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. He has demonstrated professional expertise and skills in a capacity of grass root level worker to managerial level staff of national and international organizations of Nepal. He has performed an effective and strategic role and contributed in transforming lives of underprivileged people of remote areas of Nepal in the sector of Health and Development through specific project driven work funded by various bilateral and multilateral organizations.  He has demonstrated proactive and problem solving skills and focuses on result oriented planning and implementation. He is highly capacitated on raising advocacy issues of marginalized people, overall program management and systematically functioning project interventions. 

Mr. Champha S. Bhandari joined the organization in 2005. He holds a double Master’s degree from Tribhuvan University in Political Science, Sociology, and Anthropology. As a seasoned specialist in peace and democracy strengthening, he has completed advanced training in Conflict Transformation, Peace building, and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and Facilitation for empowerment and Social Transformation FEST.

With extensive experience in human rights, advocacy, and good governance, Mr. Bhandari is an expert in policy analysis and the implementation of Social Accountability Tools. He is a highly skilled facilitator known for his work in leadership and personal development training. His technical expertise spans rights-based program development, capacity building, and professional report writing and editing.

A prolific writer and communicator, he has published hundreds of articles on socio-political issues and human rights. He previously played a key role in rights-based campaigns and mass mobilization efforts. [email protected]  

Mr. Netra Narayan Regmi joined the organization in 1998 and has been working as the Organizational Capacity Development Officer for Sahakarmi Samaj. He oversee the functioning of Tole Lane Organizations (TLOs), Community Based Network Organizations developed/partnered as an autonomous entity by Sahakarmi Samaj and helps in their capacity building. He bring 27+ years of expertise in using social accountability tools, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion , Social mobilization, and Capacity building of CSOs. Navraj Jaisi is a development practitioner from Chaukune Rural Municipality with experience in community governance, social mobilization, and local development. Since 2022, he has been working as a Program Officer at Sahakarmi Samaj under the “Strengthening Community Engagement at Local Level through Mobilization and Empowerment of Tole Lane Organizations (TLOs) to Improve Local Governance” program, where he leads planning, coordination with local government, reporting, and capacity-building activities to strengthen governance and community-institution linkages.

Previously, he served as Chairperson of Ward No. 9 of Chukune rural municipality where he was responsible for  local planning, budgeting, and community representation. He has also worked in roles such as Community Educator, Facilitator, Monitoring Facilitator, and Secretary at Interdependent Society and contributed to programs in health, HIV/AIDS awareness, peacebuilding, and social empowerment. Devi joined the organization in 2064 B.S. and has over 11 years of experience in community empowerment and local governance. Currently, she is actively engaged in the Tole Development Institution Strengthening Program, focusing on improving local governance systems within Birendranagar Municipality.

Her work emphasizes strengthening community institutions, promoting active citizen participation, and fostering collaboration between communities and local government bodies. With a strong commitment to inclusive and sustainable development, she contributes to enhancing grassroots governance and empowering marginalized groups. Ms. Acharya holds Master’s degrees in Health Education and Political Science (M.Ed.).

Parbati Pandey is a social development professional with experience in community mobilization, training facilitation, and social campaigning. She joined Sahakarmi Samaj in 2023 as a Senior Community Educator. She currently works as an Assistant Field Officer at Sahakarmi Samaj, where she has been actively involved in implementing community development programs, awareness campaigns, and stakeholder coordination for the past four years.

She also has five years of experience as an accountant and teacher at school level, where she managed financial records and supported teaching and administrative activities.

She holds a Master’s degree (Postgraduate level) and has received training in mediation, social development, and capacity building. She brings strong skills in leadership, communication, and community engagement, supporting local governance and social empowerment initiatives.

Ms. Krishna Gaha Magar joined the organization in 2023 as a Senior Community Educator and is currently working as a Data and Documentation Officer for Strengthening Community Engagement at Local Level through Mobilization and Empowerment of Tole Lane Organizations (TLOs) to Improve Local Governance.

She is a sociology graduate with strong academic and practical knowledge in local governance, social inclusion, and community development. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Mid-Western University, Surkhet. Her academic background includes research design, statistics for sociology, and development studies, which strengthen her analytical and field-level understanding.

She has developed skills in proposal writing, social audit, civic education, and basic journalism. Mr. Manoj Kumar Shah is a public health professional with more than 8 years of extensive experience in health program management, maternal and child health, nutrition, health system strengthening, HIV/AIDS programming, research, and community development. He currently serves as Program Coordinator for the Maternal, Neonatal, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) Project at Sahakarmi Samaj under the EpiC Project, supporting vulnerable communities in Jajarkot District, Nepal. He joined Sahakarmi Samaj on 25 th May 2026.

Mr. Shah holds a Master of Science in Global Public Health from Canterbury Christ Church University, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor Degree in Public Health from Purbanchal University, Nepal. He has done his diploma in General Medicine (Health Assistant) from CTEVT Nepal. His academic background is complemented by practical experience in implementing and managing donor-funded health projects supported by organizations such as USAID, FHI 360, CARE Nepal, RTI International, Helen Keller International, DFID, and International Needs Australia.

Throughout his career, he has provided leadership in planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of public health interventions focusing on maternal, newborn and child health, nutrition, family planning, gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), HIV prevention and treatment, and health system strengthening. He has worked closely with government agencies, local governments, health facilities, development partners, and community stakeholders to improve access to quality health services for marginalized populations.

In addition to program management, Mr. Shah has contributed to several health research initiatives, including hospital service quality assessments and community nutrition studies.  Passionate about improving health outcomes for women, children, and vulnerable communities, Mr. Shah remains committed to strengthening Nepal health system and promoting equitable access to quality healthcare services across the country.

Punaram Panthi is a Program Coordinator at Sahakarmi Samaj, with over 30 years of experience in community mobilization, organizational development, and capacity building. Since joining the organization in 1998, he has served in multiple roles, including Organizational Capacity Development Officer, and currently works under the PAHUNCH Program. His expertise includes GESI (Gender Equality and Social Inclusion), social accountability, participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation, and local organization strengthening.

He has extensive field experience across remote and Terai districts of Nepal, including Dolpa, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Surkhet, Dailekh, Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Rupandehi, and Kapilvastu. He has facilitated numerous trainings and workshops on governance, social audit, DRR, policy development, and local government capacity building. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education and has contributed to training manuals, strategic plans, and development publications.

Mr. Ghanshyam Acharya is an Organizational Development Officer at Sahakarmi Samaj, working since 1998 and in the Organizational Capacity Building Unit since 2009. He has extensive experience in community mobilization, organizational development, and capacity building of community groups and local institutions.

Mr. Tara Bahadur Khatri has been serving as a Technical cum Programme Officer at Sahakarmi Samaj, Kohalpur, Banke since 2012. He holds an IED & Civil Sub-Engineer qualification from CTEVT, Dang, Nepal and has more than 14 years of experience in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in the planning, implementation, and supervision of WASH programmes, contributing to improved access to safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene practices in communities. His expertise includes technical project management, infrastructure development, community engagement, and coordination with government and development partners. Ms. Harikala Khadka joined the organization in July 2025. She is currently serving as a Program Coordinator at Sahakarmi Samaj under the Local Rights Project (LRP). She is a dedicated development professional with solid experience in program planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting across various organizations.

With over 18 years of overall professional experience, including more than 10 years in the development sector and 8 years in teaching, she brings a strong and diverse background to her work. She has developed solid expertise in project management, capacity building, MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning), documentation, and community engagement.

She has sound knowledge of donor reporting, staff mobilization, and financial implementation, Pageralong with practical experience in strengthening community- based organizations and promoting inclusive development practices. She has also contributed significantly to training, coaching, and mentoring staff and stakeholders, particularly in areas such as report writing, storytelling, documentation, GESI (Gender Equality and Social Inclusion), and participatory program approaches. Albrina Singh is a social work professional from Nepalgunj, Nepal, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. She has been working with Sahakarmi Samaj since May 2025 and currently serves as a GESI Officer under the Pahunch Project.

Prior to this, she worked as a Program Manager Coach at Life Project 4 Youth, Training & Development Center, Kathmandu (Jan 2022–Aug 2024), where she provided mentoring, coaching, and training to excluded youth to support their social and professional integration. She also contributed to partnership development, coordinated program activities, and supported budget management and reporting.

With strong experience in community engagement and coordination with local stakeholders, she actively supports initiatives that promote gender equality and social inclusion. Albrina is committed to fostering positive social change, bringing empathy, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility to her work.

Mr. Ram Bahadur Air joined the organization in 2008 as Community Educator and as a Senior Community Educator three years later. He is currently working as a District Team Leader. His expertise is in Climate Change Adaptation, local governance, community empowerment.  He holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science. He facilitated different vocational trainings and engaged with women-empowerment-related organizations in Achham and Biratnagar from 2017 to 2019. He re-joined Sahakarmi Samaj in 2020 and has been leading and liaising all programs of Sahakarmi Samaj in Bajura district since then. He has a keen knowledge of local governance and is facilitating Local Government for policy analysis dialogues for review and formation. Now, he is serving as Field Project Coordinator for Strengthening Community Engagement at Local Level through Mobilization and Empowerment of Tole Lane Organizations (TLOs) to Improve Local Governance with focus on climate change adaptation. He is based on Bhajani rural municipality, Kailali.

Mr. Aakash Tiwari joined Sahakarmi Samaj in July 2022 and is currently serving as a Program Coordinator. He brings over three years of professional experience in community-based development, with a strong focus on agro-ecology, climate-resilient agriculture, and rural livelihood improvement.

He is currently working as the Program Coordinator of the SAMMAN Project, supported by Fastenaktion. In this role, he leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities in close collaboration with local communities, government stakeholders, and partner organizations, ensuring sustainable and inclusive outcomes.

At present, he is working closely with Dalit communities in Kalikot and Jajarkot district, promoting equitable access to resources and strengthening community resilience.

Previously, he served as an agro-ecology Officer from 2022 to 2024 in Jajarkot, where he supported farmers in adopting sustainable agricultural practices and contributed to strengthening local agro-ecological systems.

Mr. Tiwari holds a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics, which strengthens his ability to integrate technical knowledge with practical field applications.

An agriculture graduate currently pursuing a Master’s in Community Science at Future Generations University, USA, with a strong interest in community empowerment and climate adaptation. She has practical field-based experience in agriculture and rural development and has been actively engaged in capacity-building initiatives, including Training of Trainers (ToT) programs on Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Adaptation Strategies, as well as a Summer School on Climate-Resilient Agriculture and the FEST methodology.

She has been working with Sahakarmi Samaj for over three years and is currently serving as Project Coordinator for the Water Justice Fund project. In this role, she facilitates community-led capacity building processes that strengthen local resilience, with a strong focus on inclusion of Indigenous knowledge systems alongside climate science to develop locally grounded and sustainable solutions.

She is strongly committed to advancing women’s and youth empowerment through inclusive, participatory, and community-driven approaches to climate justice and water governance.

Rekha Bhattarai is a dedicated, hardworking, and motivated individual from Bansgadhi-01, Bardiya, Nepal. She has completed her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture from Dolphin (PG) Institute of Biomedical & Natural Science, Dehradun, India, and is currently pursuing her M.Sc. in Agriculture.

She has practical experience in agriculture, community development, and local-level coordination. She is currently working with the Daliot community of Sanni Triveni and Naraharinath Rural Municipality, Kalikot, where she is involved in field activities, community mobilization, and coordination with local stakeholders. She has also completed a 4-month internship at the Grain Legume Research Program (GLRP), Khajura, Banke, gaining technical knowledge in agricultural research and field practices, as well as a 4-week village attachment program at Bansgadhi Municipality, Bardiya, which enhanced her understanding of rural livelihoods and local governance.

She possesses strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and report writing skills, along with good computer knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet applications.

Agroecology Officer

Ms. Bharati works as an Agroecology Officer at the organization with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and has expertise in agroecology, climate-smart agriculture, and adaptation to climate change. She has worked as a trainer and consultant for different organization and has helped build capacity and implement projects. The skills of Ms. Bharati encompass designing, data collection, analysis, and reporting. In her current role, she works closely with farmers to promote sustainable practices, provide technical assistance, and strengthen community resilience.
