Sahakarmi Samaj has signed an agreement with Bheri Municipality of Jajarkot for capacity development of “Community Groups/Tole Bikaas Committee and Community governance strengthening Program” in ward no: 1,2,3,4 & 13 of Bheri Municipality.

The project is intended to cover 3 years of the period and work tosupport the existing mechanism of local government for effective mobilisation, implementation and management of local government for Community Groups/Tole Bikaas through strengthening their organisational, management and mobilisation capacity and to create enabling environment for those mechanisms to have access to resources by developing coordination and collaboration with various organisations.

Sahakarmi Samaj has its ongoing project “Community Organising for Sustainable and Empowerment Based Livelihood Improvement(COSELI) Program” in Bheri Municipality funded by Development Fund Norway. The project has completed two and half years of the period in that particular municipality and the approach and effectiveness of the project in other wards has resulted in the municipality approaching Sahakarmi Samaj to replicate this project in other left out wards.

The current volume of the amount agreed is NRs. 200,000.00 that needs to be complete within the end of this FY (this FY is about to complete), while new agreement will be made in next FY.
