Janajagaran Samaj (JJS) is a Community Based Network Organization (CBNO) working in Khajura and Janaki Rural Municipality and Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan of Banke district of Nepal. Registered on 7 August, 2003 in DAO, Banke and affiliated with Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu on Nov 6th, 2004. At present, JJS has seven main committees (MCs) and 133 communities groups having 2,605 members. JJS has been providing special support for the institutional development of community groups and main communities, with main focused on neglected and marginalized people, dalit and indigenous, ethnic groups, Muslim and minority castes, women and children.
JJS works on different themes: Institutional development, Livelihood, Education and awareness-raising, Health, sanitation and environment conservation, Peace, reconciliation and human rights, Disaster management and risk reduction.
JJS has a Vision: Establishment of a prosperous, self-governed, inclusive, equitable, civilized and interdependent democratic society.
Mission: Mobilization of local and external resources for qualitative lifestyle improvement of marginalized communities, awareness enhancement, disaster risk management and aiding community causes through advocacy.
Goals
- Through increased access to and maximum utilization of community’s local resources and external resources, self-employment opportunities will increase for marginalized people, thereby qualitatively improving their lifestyle.
- Through increased awareness, community people will have greater access to- and control of- various sectors, whole exercising optimum right.
Objectives
- To assist in ending injustice, exploitation and oppression existing in society and in establishing cordial relation between people of various castes, religions and communities.
- To identify and effectively mobilize local knowledge, skills and resources to help become self-responsible for community development: and to increase access to services and facilities.
- To implement income–generating activities for the upliftment of social,economic and physical lifestyle of neglected and marginalized communities: and to seek the potential of self-employment after producing skilled work force.
- To identify common public concerns, advocate their solution and to help in restoring peace and achieving good governance in society.
- To increase yields from traditional animal farming and agriculture for meeting fundamental requirements of communities.
- To make efforts for improving the quality of education, guaranteeing access to pure and cleaning drinking water, conserving cultural and natural heritages, and reversing environment degradation.

Tharu Community Development Forum [TCDF] is one of non government, non profitable and service oriented organization established in 1993 vision with creation of dignified civil society, with 45 community groups. It is registered at district administration office Gulariya in 1993 and also affiliated in social welfare council in Kathmandu in 1993. It is governed by the board of Tharu men and women and has been working in Bardiya for past 25 years in formal, informal education sector as well as in health, sanitation, vocational trainings, awareness training, women empowerment and livelihood development community group formation and different capacity development training, micro finance etc.
From its’ inception of time, it has partnered with: PACT NEPAL , The Asia Foundation, CARE NEPAL, IDS NEPAL and with skill Development Center, SAVR THE CHILDREN US, WORLD EDUCATION, FUND DEVELOPMENT BOARD and now partnering with DEVELOPMENT FUND NORWEY. Tharu Community Development Forum conducts programs targeting with landless, Dalit, Ethnic Tharu, Freed Kamaiyas Children, Child labour children and poor people in society. The strategy of the organization is to mobilize society, local equipment and resource, expanding coordination and linkage, fund increase, advocacy, capacity development and participation of target group in program planning.

Jan shakti Bikas Samaj was registered as community based organization in DAO of Bardiya on 1st June, 2010 and is currently located in BadhaiyaTaal-6 of Bardiya. The main goal of the organization is to enhance the skill of marginalized people by engaging them and informing them about governance through empowerment. Nepal Gandharva Samaj is one of non government, non profitable and service oriented organization established in 2065 B.S with the vision of serving the most marginalized people and to ensure their quality of life in civil society. It is registered at district administration office Bardiya in 2071 B.S and also affiliated in social welfare council in Kathmandu .It has currently 25 members (only 1 CG having F:22, M:3), governed by the board of Gandharva men and women and has been working in Bardiya for past 5 yearsNGS core working themes are: group education, awareness training, women empowerment and livelihood development. It is basically focused on information dissemination and advocacy to help marginalized people having easy access on those resources.
