Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Program
Sahakarmi Samaj implemented WASH program in Dang, Banke and Surkhet districts from 2012 to 2015 with the support of ICCO and Practical Foundation. The project directly reached 5,500 community people of 1000 HHs from marginalised community, people affiliated with cooperatives and workshops in Banke, Dang and Surkhet districts. The major learning from the project was that having experiences with community mobilisation is not enough in making the project’s initiation sustain in the long run, you need entrepreneurship skills for it. The total volume of the project was NPR 16.17 million (approximately 144 thousand USD). Please contact amarbdr.air@gmail.com if you are interested to know more about the project.
