Inclusive Resource Management Initiative (IRMI)
Sahakarmi Samaj with support from Mercy Corps and USAID implemented Inclusive Resource Management Initiative Project in five VDCs of Banke district from July 2013 to June 2016. The objectives of the project was to promote inclusive decision making related to the use of natural resources and managemnt as well as resolution of resource based conflict. The project directly reached to 22,484 people from marginalised communities, forest users groups and resource based affected people. The major learning of the project was that local development is possible if there is social amity between people, so local dialogues are important to break silence. The total volume of the project was NPR 11.2 million (approximately 100 thousand USD). Please contact rajaram2026@gmail.com if you are interested to know more about the project.
